Belmont Oasis Leisure Centre will undergo redevelopment of the Lagoon pool. To continue its attraction and longevity into the future, scheduled major repairs and improvements to the appearance will be completed over the 5 week period.

The pool will be closed to the public starting 12noon on the 11th March 2012 and scheduled to reopen Mid April 2012.

Swimming lessons will continue over this period in either the Indoor heated 50m pool or the Outdoor 25m Pool which will have its temperature raised to 32°c. For more information regarding Belmont Oasis Swimschool lessons please contact Swimschool on 9277 1622 or oasisswim@belgravialeisure.com.au.

All other aquatics facilities and services including the indoor 50m pool, the outdoor 25m pool, the spa & sauna and aquaerobics classes will operate as normal however available space may be slightly reduced.

Frequently Asked Questions

What work is being completed?

                The expansion joint (strip of the pool to allow contraction and expansion of the pool with temperature) has reached the end of its useful life and is being replaced. A hand rail will be added to the deep end to allow easier access to the pool. The damaged roof area will be roof area will be repaired and repainted to improve the look of the area.

What areas and facilities will be unavailable?

                Only the Lagoon pool will be closed to the public, including the pool deck area surrounding. A small portion of the grassed area nearby will also be cordoned off to allow access to the pool for the contractors.

What about my swimming lesson?

                Swimming lessons will continue over the closure period. Lessons in the main pool will continue as normal. Lessons normally in the Lagoon pool will be moved to either the Main pool or the Outdoor pool which will be heated to 32°c the same temperature as the Lagoon.

When is the last day the pool will be open to the public?

                The pool will remain open to the public until 12noon on Sunday the 11^th of March 2012.

When will the pool reopen?
