Construction Update for 18 July 2018

The next phase of construction of the City of Belmont’s new community centre is pouring the concrete slab for the basement floor.

The first of these concrete pours will take place on Wednesday 18 July from 7am, with a pumping truck positioned on site immediately off Progress Way close to Wright Street.  Concrete trucks will enter Progress Way from Wright Street and pull up along the pump truck, once unloaded they will exit through Progress way to Alexander Road.

Traffic management measures will be place when pouring is being undertaken, which will mean that Progress Way at Wright Street will become one way (please see map - above).  These concrete pours may impact visitors if you enter or exit through Progress way for parking and the City apologises for any inconvenience.

While these major concrete pours will be intermittent over the next few weeks, on the days they are pouring there will be a significant amount of activity in this area with trucks entering and exiting frequently.

Please take special care when driving or walking in the Faulkner Park area.

Future concrete pouring dates will be announced as soon as they become available.

Should you have any queries, please contact the City of Belmont on 9477 7222, or email communitycentre@belmont.wa.gov.au
